Who We Are

We're a native plant nursery based in Lancaster County, PA on a mission to cover the county in native plants.

What We Do

For county residents interested in going native, we simplify the process. If you're new to native gardening, it can be overwhelming! We make it easier by only selling plants native to Lancaster County, ensuring you know how to pick the plants that will thrive on your property, and making sure you know how to install and maintain your garden. We recommend starting with our Lancaster Native Garden Trail - a list of local businesses and organizations that have made the switch to native plants - for inspiration for your own garden!

For nonprofits, clubs, teams, and churches
, we offer fundraisers with no upfront costs or minimum commitments. We provide personalized marketing materials and plants, you provide the people, and then we send you a check. We offer online and pop-up sales and would be happy to customize your plant sale to fit your goals and group. For business owners and property managers, we help reduce landscaping maintenance costs by designing and installing native gardens. Native gardens become self-sufficient after 3 to 5 years, unlike costly grass lawns that require weekly maintenance several months out of the year. Our Story

Growing up as two sisters in Lancaster County, we have all of these wonderful memories of warm June nights, staying up late to run around and catch fireflies. But as we got older, we saw fewer and fewer each year. When we learned that our big grass backyard was part of the reason why firefly populations were dwindling, we knew we had to do something about it.

We spent countless hours researching native plants, and quickly discovered that grass lawns and non native flowers are like deserts for insects, and provide little to no food or shelter for them! Not only that, but they take a lot of chemicals, water, and time to maintain.

Native gardens, on the other hand, are the complete opposite! They provide a nice tasty meal for insects in need, and they don’t need a lot of maintenance because they have spent millions of years adapting to this specific environment. Think of how much lower your water bill could be, or what you could accomplish if you didn’t have to spend 2 hours mowing the lawn every week! Grass lawns have a time and a place (we love a good picnic or backyard soccer game), but we have so much more than we need. Just imagine how many insects we could help by converting just a tiny sliver of every lawn into a native garden. We are on a mission to make this vision a reality by making it as easy as possible to go native!
